DEVELOPMENT OF AI & ML BASED OPTICAL CHARACTER READER SYSTEM PROTOTYPE MODEL FOR VISUAL IMPAIRED PERSONS

The AI & ML Based Optical Character Reader System is designed to assist visually impaired persons by converting printed text into audible information. A camera captures images of text from books, documents, or signboards, and the data is processed using artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques. The extracted text is converted into speech output in real time, enabling users to access written content independently. The system is implemented using a Single Board Computer (SBC) for efficient processing and control. This project uses an SBC, camera module, AI & ML algorithms, text-to-speech modules, and embedded programming, making it suitable for assistive learning and accessibility applications.
