AN IOT BASED SMART WASTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The IoT Based Smart Waste Management System monitors waste levels in garbage bins using an ultrasonic sensor and IoT technology. A Single Board Computer (SBC) processes the sensor data and transmits it wirelessly to a cloud-based IoT platform for real-time monitoring. When the waste level crosses a predefined limit, the system sends alert notifications to a mobile application, enabling timely waste collection. The project can also include GPS for location tracking and optimized route planning. This project uses an SBC, ultrasonic sensor, cloud platform, IoT communication, and embedded programming, making it suitable for smart city and urban waste management applications.
