Project
Controlled Flap Deflection Mechanism for Enhancing Aircraft Lift
₹19000.0
The connection between flap deflection and lift improvement in aircraft wings is investigated in this project. The project aims to demonstrate how deflection angles affect lift generation by designing and building a working flap mechanism including servomotors, control systems, and 3D-printed components. The device simulates takeoff, landing, and cruising circumstances by incorporating adjustable flap angles. Load cells and a miniature wind tunnel setup are used to measure lift in real time. To decrease takeoff distance and increase flight efficiency, the research highlights the need for optimal flap deployment. The project offers practical experience in comprehending lift augmentation and aerodynamic concepts by incorporating an easy-to-use control mechanism. The findings highlight the significance of adaptive aerodynamics and provide a basis for future studies into sophisticated control systems for contemporary aircraft.
