AUTOMATIC ROOM LIGHT CONTROLLER WITH PERSON COUNT

The objective of this project is to develop an automated room light controller system that regulates its operation depending on the occupancy of the space. The person count is increased or decreased based on the detection of entries and exits utilizing infrared sensors. When at least one person is in the room, the lights are turned on and when no individual is in room, the lights are turned off. The lighting system is managed by a microcontroller, which also processes the sensor inputs. Through the reduction of needless power usage, the design promotes energy efficiency. The prototype's precision in identifying entrances and exits as well as its dependability in managing the lights in real time are evaluated.
